PAIN TO PASSION ~ My story
The hardship that served a purpose.
My photography business was born from grief after suddenly losing my Dad in 2004.
I realized how irreplaceable photos are.
Printed black and white pictures of my Dad were all I had left. Later in life, they became my purpose, inspiration, and mission as a portrait photographer.
I value the importance of sharing stories. I believe that stories connect us as humans and help us get to know others more meaningfully and intimately.
Looking back at my parent’s photographs always brings a sense of fondness and emotion. My approach to photography reflects and evokes a romantic feeling of sentimental love and nostalgia.
A PURPOSE
The pain of losing my Father led me to a passion for photography. My purpose is to create and preserve timeless memories to stand the test of time and be treasured years from now, just like these precious photos of my parents.
THE INSPIRATION
My biggest inspiration as a wedding photographer comes from my parent's wedding, their timeless black and white photographs, and my Mom's love story. From the day they became one with the blessing of God until Dad moved to heaven, it has been 43 years, and her faithful and only love remains.
A MISSION
Losing my Father tragically shaped how I view photography and my duty as a photographer. I have learned that my photographs will only truly be appreciated years from now.
One day, my legacy will be that I helped create beautiful photographic memories of people in a time that was precious to them. I desire those photographs to become an heirloom for generations, like my parents and grandparents' photos.
