It would be my honor to photograph your family photos in Tampa.

For me creating these timeless photographs come from a deep intentional process, and getting to know your family history is a part of it.

Getting to know you and the dynamic of your family is what allows me to serve you and photograph from the heart.

The best investment of my time is to listen and observe the small details and the essence of your family.

A question I always ask and allow me to connect and plan for your portrait session is;

One of the beautiful things photography has taught me has been to be very intentional about learning and listening with an empathetic heart to the stories of families. 

I value the importance of sharing stories. I believe that stories connect us as humans and help us to know others in a meaningful and intimate way.

Quality time together is fundamental to me. It allows me to observe the stories, those precious moments of love, emotion, and affection that unfold when I am invited as a portrait photographer to create meaningful portraits. 

It is priceless and gratifying for me as a photography artist.

My desire for your portrait experience is to preserve memories of your loved ones and document the essence of your family in a time that is special to you.

My legacy one day will be that I helped create beautiful photographic memories of people in a time that was precious to them. Capturing memories that stand the test of time, that you can preserve and gift to your kids, fulfills my purpose as an artist and gives me great joy. 

As an artist, I use photography as a creative tool to connect with people and their special and unique stories.

Charles and Linda's story:

One morning as I was working and editing some pictures, the phone rang.

I picked up the phone and on the other side was Charles.

I knew he was a very kind gentleman as soon as I heard his voice.

Hi Charles, how can I help you? I said

I am reaching out because I would like to gift a portrait to my wife, something she can frame and add to our wall collection. She has built a beautiful photo wall in our home, where she has collected her favorite memories throughout the years.

I want this to be a surprise Charles said.

I want to share something with you, Carolina. My wife Linda has gone through a challenging journey as she has just finished Cancer treatment and chemotherapy.

I know how much Linda appreciates photography, and this will be a delightful surprise!

Thank you for sharing something deeply personal with me, Charles, I said.

I would love to help you, and for me, it would be an honor to photograph you and your wife and create something meaningful that she can add to her collection of frames!

What do you usually do on a Sunday afternoon? I asked.

Well, we live on a farm. We like to stay home, feed the horses, enjoy each other company, sit outside on the porch, walk our dogs and sometimes have friends over and cook dinner together.

Hang out with the horses is my therapy. Linda, my wife, enjoys feeding them watermelon, Charles said.

Well, let's do just that!

I want to photograph you and Linda in your element, where you will feel the most comfortable. I want you to see the essence of who you are through photographs, something that you will not be able to create unless someone is there capturing those moments, I explained.

It will be lovely, I assure him.

I had the honor of being invited to their farm. How special that was for me. To be trusted to come into their intimate space, their home where Linda and Charles spend time as a family.

When I got there, I introduced myself, and at that point, Linda knew I would photograph them.

Imminently I felt I had known them for a long time. It was special!

We walked around the farm and fed the horses while I heard about their story. They have been married for 33 years and could not have children during this time together. I appreciate their trust as they opened up and shared their stories.

I could relate, and with an empathetic heart, I had the opportunity to share a little bit of my story. Why I could tell Linda, even tho I was born in a different generation, I have walked those shoes myself. I know from personal experience what it is to wait on God for a promise. The greatest blessing of motherhood.

As we were coming to the end of our time together, we walked out to the porch, their favorite place. They sat on the swing and watched the sunset. I saw Linda coming from behind to give her husband an affectionate hug and a kiss.

I happened to witness that moment with my camera. It became the photo you see framed and printed and now lives on a wall, where Charles and Linda can see it daily!
